Creation of the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame

It's been in the works since 2007, but November 23rd, 2009,  marks the day that the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame has been created. The announcement was made at the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. See below for interviews with some of the notable attendees.

Although it's exclusively online for now, a physical home is in the works. One possible location being considered is within or part of the new football stadium being built for the Pan Am Games.

The nomination process is being finalized and will be announced in February 2010. Inductees will be chosen by a special selection committee. Beginning immediately, citizens who are interested will have an opportunity to apply to be on that committee.
